Heavy Duty Brake Upgrade

Our client sells heavy duty brake upgrade kits which improve braking performance when towing heavy loads. For this kit they wanted to add a second caliper but weren’t sure how to mount it, so they hired Absolute3D to figure out a solution.

We 3D scanned and reverse engineered the entire brake assembly. After aligning the parts virtually in 3D space, we designed two brackets that would allow both capilers to be mounted. As a consequence, the original disk rotor was no longer compatible, so we designed a completely new disk rotor to match. Along with the CAD model, we also provided manufacturing drawings.
